2. Profiles: Technical Writing in the Field. (10 points)
You will identify a career of interest (e.g., electrical engineer, cyber-security analyst, nurse, etc). Then, complete research online to write a profile of writing in the field, in MEMO format, addressing the following:
- Summary
- Body paragraphs (2-4 paragraphs)
- Consider discussing types of documents written in that role, kinds of research, and types of audiences
- Use topic sentences and guidance on writing effective paragraphs from Ch. 9
- Use in-text citations for paraphrased and quoted information (do not plagiarize!)
- Conclusion or Recommendation: how EGL 1340 will prepare you for any of the technical writing you will use in this field
- An MLA- or APA-formatted Works Cited/References page of at least two sources
