Definition of Intelligence in Education Debate Discussion

Critically examine how psychologists define intelligence. What is the best way to define it? Is it useful to routinely test for intelligence? How important are alternative conceptualizations (e.g., Gardner, Sternberg) of intelligence? You might want to include the perspective of taxpayers (i.e., government funding of education), parents, teachers, and students.You may absolutely include your own opinion, but make sure it is informed by scientific understanding as referenced in Chapter 10.
